Eliot Congregational Church (second) is built.

1873

Architect: J. Williams Beal. Built with Roxbury puddingstone, it is located at 56 Dale Street. The interior includes Tiffany stained glass windows, one made by Charles Connick. Despite a serious fire in the 1930s, the congregation continues to worship in the building until repairs are made. The building is restored with the assistance of Historic Boston in the late 20th century. Evan Hines is the current pastor.
